When visitors stop by the Shentel booth during the Shenandoah County Fair next week, they will be surprised.
After about 20 years in the same space, Shentel gave the booth a real facelift with new carpet, paneling, ceiling tiles, lighting and ceiling fans. There is a company logo on the back wall and two flatscreen televisions on the side walls.

“It was time to freshen up our space,” said marketing manager Angela Washington. “Shentel changed its logo and brand colors last October, so it seemed like the perfect time to update our fair booth.”
The Shenandoah County Fair is almost as old as Shentel. Shentel was founded in 1902 and the fair was first held in 1917. Currently, the fair is held in the last weeks of August, though originally it was held in October. The pageant was last weekend and Family Fun Day is this Saturday.
From Sunday through Saturday, Shentel will have staff posted in the booth and ShentelPages Man will walk around the grounds to greet visitors. Stop by to try out an HD/DVR and learn what it’s like to watch programs on your schedule instead of the channel’s schedule. Helpful staff will be available to answer your questions and you can spin the prize wheel.
Shentel will also have a Duck Dynasty photo booth where you can pose for pictures wearing “the beards” that have made the A&E show so famous. Shentel will post the pictures on Facebook so you can share with your friends and family.
Stop by and take a look at the new booth and learn more about Internet, phone and cable services that are available in Shenandoah County.
