Shentel to sponsor Spring Mountain Festival in Petersburg April 26-28

The 21st annual Spring Mountain Festival will be held April 26-28 in Petersburg, WV. Shentel is a sponsor of this event and will have the Shentel Experience trailer at the park for the weekend.

“We have been part of the Spring Mountain Festival for years. We love getting the opportunity to celebrate spring with our Petersburg neighbors,” said Angela Washington, marketing manager. “I encourage everyone to stop by and check out the Shentel Experience trailer. Inside the trailer is a living room with a really cool smart TV and a comfy couch. Outside we have video games set up and you also can see how easy it is to stream movies over the Internet. We invite everyone to stop by.”

The festival kicks off on Friday after 5 p.m. when the food and vendor booths open in the park. Local bands will perform on stage Friday night with an appearance by Omega Force at 6:45 p.m.

Festival grounds open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and the Festival parade starts at 10 a.m. For the rest of the day, visitors can enjoy arts and crafts exhibits, music, food, vendors and even Civil War train rides. There will be bounce houses for the kids, zip line and bull riding for the adventurous folks. The Shentel booth and trailer will be open on Saturday and Sunday, as well.

Festival hours are 4-6 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
