Beginning March 6, Broadband Company Introduces Enhanced Picture Quality, New Channels, and Additional Programming Options
Edinburg, Va. – March 9, 2012 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) (NASDAQ: SHEN), an established provider of broadband services for Internet, home phone and television, announces the availability of improved-quality cable TV with new programming options for subscribers in Montgomery and Pulaski counties.
Effective March 6, cable subscribers can select from three tiers of cable programming – Digital Essentials, Essentials, and Economy TV – all with improved picture quality. Shentel’s expanded cable packages include a new array of channels (160 with Digital Essentials), as well as an additional high-definition channels, accessible through Shentel’s Premium HD packages. Viewers can also easily navigate through available channels with Shentel’s interactive, on-screen guide where they can browse program listings, order a Pay-Per-View movie, set up parental controls, and listen to music from over 45 digital music channels. Also, for the first time, viewers have the power to record, pause, and rewind live TV when they opt for Shentel’s digital video recording (DVR) service.
