Improved Cable TV and DVR Options for Wytheville

Shentel cable subscribers in Wytheville, Va., can receive improved-quality high-definition TV, and opt for new channels and digital video recording (DVR) capabilities

Edinburg, Va. – Sept. 28, 2011 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) (NASDAQ: SHEN), an established provider of Internet, television and home phone services, announces that subscribers in Wytheville, Va., can now receive improved cable TV service, with new high-definition (HD) programming and the option of adding digital video recording (DVR) capabilities.

Beginning Sept. 28, Wytheville customers can watch their favorite shows with enhanced picture quality and choose from three tiers of cable programming that include a new array of channels, with more than 50 in HD. Viewers can easily navigate through available channels with Shentel’s interactive, on-screen guide where they can see program listings, order a Pay-Per-View movie, set up parental controls, and even listen to music from over 45 digital music channels. Additionally, for the first time, viewers can opt for Shentel’s DVR service, allowing them to record, pause, and rewind live TV.
