Free Wi-Fi Service For Russell County Fair

Telecommunications Company to Offer Wi-Fi Service from Booth Shared with ARC-TV
at Annual Fair, Held Sept. 2-11, at the Russell County Fairgrounds in Castlewood

Edinburg, Va. – Sept. 2, 2011 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) (NASDAQ: SHEN), an established provider of telephone, Internet and cable television services, announces that it is providing free wireless Internet access throughout the annual Russell County Fair & Horse Show, held Sept. 2-11 at the Russell County Fairgrounds in  Castlewood, Va. The company will be making this possible via a wireless router at the Shentel booth which they will be sharing with ARC-TV (Appalachian Regional Community Television). Fair attendees and exhibitors will be able to conveniently connect to the Internet from their laptops, smartphones, and other devices.

In addition to providing free wireless Internet access, Shentel will have a representative on-hand on Saturday, Sept. 10, to answer customer questions about the company’s latest offerings in cable TV, Internet and Home Phone. Community television leader, ARC-TV, will be filming and taking photos throughout the event to share on its website,
