New Channels, DVR Capability and Internet Speeds Up to 9 Mbit/sec Now Available
Edinburg, Va. – May 19, 2010 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) (NASDAQ: SHEN), with over 100 years of experience providing telephone, Internet and cable television services, announced it has launched faster Internet service, new cable channels and features to customers in Ansted, Page and Scarbro in Fayette County, W.Va.
Customers now can select from three tiers of channels, with the option of adding up to 42 high definition (HD) channels and digital video recorder (DVR) services. HDTV offers the highest quality picture and sound, while DVR capability makes it possible to digitally record up to 100 hours of programming, record one show and watch another, and pause and rewind live TV. High-speed Internet – at speeds up to 9 Mbit/sec for residential service and 12 Mbit/sec for businesses – is also now available.
Shentel’s new service bundles help customers find a service and price level that fits their budget. These bundles provide both cable TV and Internet services and enable customers to save on cost while offering the convenience of paying for both services with one bill.
