Shentel to Hold “Demo Day” in Weston

Edinburg, Va. – May 20, 2010 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel; NASDAQ: SHEN), an established provider of telephone, Internet and cable television services, announced that it will hold a “Demo Day” at Second & Center Café in Weston, W.Va., on Thursday, May 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the event, attendees can experience Shentel’s high-definition (HD) television, digital video recording (DVR) capabilities and high-speed Internet. Attendees can also register to win prizes and receive special offers for signing up for Shentel’s services.

By signing up for Shentel’s services at Demo Day, new customers will receive Shentel’s high-speed Internet and/or Digital Essentials TV free for the first month, while paying only $19.95 per month for the next two months of Internet and $29.95 per month for the next five months of cable.

Shentel representatives will be available throughout the event to answer questions about services and assist attendees in trying products.

Additionally, anyone who participates in Shentel’s product demonstration will receive a free scoop of ice cream from Second & Center Café. Attendees can also enter to win prizes, such as coupons for Second & Center, a prize pack for the recent HBO series “The Pacific”, and a Memorial Day-themed gift package, complete with a grill, grilling tools and charcoal.
