Shentel Sponsors Fireworks at Covington’s July 4th Celebration

Edinburg, Va. – June 28, 2010 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel; NASDAQ: SHEN), an established provider of telephone, Internet and cable television services, announced that it is sponsoring the fireworks display at Covington’s annual July 4th Celebration on Sunday, July 4, at the Jackson River Recreation Sport Complex. The free event will begin at 3 p.m., with the fireworks show beginning at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Shentel is one of the local businesses making it possible for Covington residents to enjoy the much-anticipated Independence Day fireworks show at Jackson River. The celebration will also feature performances by the Maurice Ulmer Band, from 3 to 5 p.m., and Burning Bridges, from 6 to 9 p.m. There will also be entertainment by Ziggy the Clown, along with face painting, a moonwalk, putt-putt golf and concessions.
