Edinburg, Va. – April 7, 2010 – Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel; NASDAQ: SHEN), an established provider of telephone, Internet and cable television services, announced that it has partnered with Old Forge Coffee Co. on East Ridgeway Street in Clifton Forge, Va. Shentel is providing free wireless, or Wi-Fi, Internet access, high-definition cable television and commercial-free digital music to the new business, which opened in January. This will allow patrons to sample new services offered by Shentel while enjoying the shop’s gourmet coffees, cappuccinos, lattes and baked goods.

The free Wi-Fi Internet makes it possible for customers to use their laptops to surf the Web while they are at the shop. Additionally, Shentel provided a flat-screen, high-definition TV so interested customers may view the selection of cable channels, the features of the interactive guide, and try out the digital video recorder (DVR) capabilities. When no one is watching programming, customers will be able to enjoy the sounds of digital, commercial-free music which is part of Shentel’s Digital Essentials package.

Jim Bay, founder of Old Forge Coffee Co., approached Shentel about a possible partnership. Bay said, “It had been my dream to open my own coffee shop, and Shentel has made the process all the better. My customers are thrilled to have Wi-Fi access, especially because wireless coverage in this area is often spotty and unreliable. I am thankful for Shentel’s generosity and am looking forward to working with them.”

“Shentel is pleased to establish a partnership with Jim Bay and Old Forge Coffee Company,” said Christopher Kyle, Shentel marketing director. “We see this collaboration as a win-win situation for both Old Forge and Shentel. By providing free Internet and TV services, Old Forge will attract customers and generate interest in our services. Ultimately, both businesses will benefit.”

Old Forge Coffee Co. is open from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. For more information about Old Forge Coffee Co., visit
